Perhaps no other destination offers such diversity in landscape, culture and recreation. Here, you can go
downhill skiing, then hike through an ancient petrified forest. Relax in the solitude of the desert, golf in Phoenix or take in the excitement of one of the fastest growing cities in the country.
This colorful tapestry of contrasts is the essence of Phoenix Arizona. And only one resort features this prominent theme throughout: The Westin Kierland Golf Resort & Spa.
In harmony with its surroundings, the golf resort's picturesque silhouette is inspired by the nearby Phoenix Mountain Reserve, which includes the McDowell Mountains and famous Pinnacle Peak. The color
gradations of its facades are reminiscent of the stratified layers of the Grand Canyon, the most visited attraction in the state.

Phoenix Arizona is a surprise to the senses.
And your very soul. The desert offers solitude as well as the excitement of a vibrant city. It is an
ancient land, yet it is alive with the spirit of youth. This colorful tapestry of contraststhe essence of
Arizonais featured prominently throughout The Westin Kierland Golf Resort & Spa. Inspired by the
surrounding Phoenix Mountain Reserve, the resort's exterior is composed of graduated colors reminiscent of canyon rock. The lobby is a graceful transition of primary terrains, desert and mountain, with a
cascading waterfall and tranquil pools that offer a cooling welcome. Decorated in rich earth tones, each
guest room provides an oasis of comfort, with an oversized leather lounge chair, and Westin's signature Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath.

Recognizing that Arizona is virtually synonymous with the outdoors, the resort's walkways move from
indoors to outdoors fluidly, taking full advantage of the desert's predominantly temperate climate.
Strategically scattered throughout the resort grounds, multiple courtyards provide ideal gathering spots for impromptu meetings and informal breakout sessions. The different courtyard designs feature the
varied desert landscape of modern-day Phoenix, alongside "art of the ancients" such as petroglyphs, pictography and geoglyphs recreated by contemporary Arizona artists. The 27,000-square-foot
Marshall's Outpost Lawn and the 4,000-square-foot Pavilion offer an array of opportunities for Arizona-themed events, such as cowboy cookouts or authentic Western barbecues. In addition, a 42,000-
square-foot lawn and two tennis courts are sized to hold function tents for groups needing extensive indoor/outdoor facilities.
