Portugal with its sunny climate and stunning landscapes has long been a popular tourist destination for Europeans, especially the Algarve. To cater for a sizeable ex-pat and tourist
interest, notably from the UK , Portugal has a fine selection of golf courses in the popular areas.
While golf in Portugal lags behind that of Spain, Portugal still offers the tourist a fine
selection of courses. The Algarve in the south and the most popular tourist area, has the greatest number of courses with more being built. Notable golf clubs are Pine Cliffs,
Salgados, Parque da Floresta and Palmares.
Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is also well served with several courses along the coast.
Other areas of Portugal including the island of Madiera, are well served with a small number of good quality courses.
Of course, Portugal has a lot more to offer than just golf and sunbathing. Go inland and enjoy the wonderful scenery and
